74VDC Hermetic Compressor

74vdc compressor 150x150Prime refrigerators are now available with our proprietary DC compressor. This is a hermetically sealed unit with a 74VDC BRUSHLESS motor and solid state controller that eliminates the need for a separate external inverter; saving hundred of dollars in additional equipment and installation costs. Having been engineered specifically for mobile applications, this compressor is more robust than even our rugged AC compressor that has been a reliable performer for more than 30 years. Prime Railroad Products

Prime Railroad Products (Formerly Prime Canada, Ltd) was established in Quebec, Canada in 1965 as a division of Prime Manufacturing Corporation to service the Canadian Railroads with quality locomotive accessories and cab components. In the 1980’s, Prime Canada moved its manufacturing facility to Prescott, Ontario. In 1995, Prime Manufacturing Corporation was sold to other interests while Prime Canada remained with the original owner. In 1997, the present owner and former Vice President of Prime Manufacturing Corporation purchased the company and brought with him over 40 years of industry knowledge and manufacturing innovation to the company.
